Mysore Style Classes
This is the traditional approach to learning (and sharing) Ashtanga Yoga. This method fosters independence and encourages the student to be an active participant in the learning process. It also gives the teacher an opportunity to observe how best to serve the student and facilitate the development of their practice.
It is essentially one-on-one instruction, in a group setting. The correct movements, breathing, and other aspects of the practice are learned gradually, in a step-by-step process accessible to anyone. Students are able to practice independently, and at their own pace, while benefiting from the energy and inspiration of the other students in the room. The teacher is there to offer verbal, energetic and physical guidance specifically directed to each student.

These classes are about establishing, and sustaining tristana, the 3 supports of the practice - a strong, stable body; a free, even breath and a steady gaze...this is an opportunity to refine your approach to the practice, paying special attention to the beautiful details in the structure of the system.
